1. Will PromoBYTES™ run on a MAC?

Yes- we can prepare a PromoByte that will run on a Mac.

2. How large are PromoBYTES™?

PromoBYTES™ can vary in size depending on the complexity of the content. If you plan to email your PromoBYTES™ to prospects the file size should be less than 1 MB to facilitate fast downloads. If you are using PromoBYTES™ for Laptop presentations then they can be as large as necessary. The smallest size that a PromoByte can be is 160K.

3. What about Viruses and PromoBYTES™?

Centrax uses the latest virus detection software on its development computers. All PromoBYTES™ are scanned for viruses before they are sent to the client. The fact that they are already compiled as EXE files makes it difficult for someone to add a virus to it unlike Microsoft Word or Excel files

4. Are there any Licenses required for me to send out PromoBYTES™?

No. Centrax registers each PromoByte that it produces with Macromedia. This fulfills their licensing requirements for sending out PromoBYTES™.

5. Can PromoBYTES™ be put on our website?
PromoBYTES™ use Macromedia's Flash™ technology. Before the file is packaged into an exe file it is a standard Flash file that can be put on a web server. Anyone with the Flash plug-in on their browser will be able to view the PromoBYTES™ before downloading.

6. What media elements can PromoBYTES™ contain?

PromoBYTES™ can contain graphics, audio, text and animation. We can accept most file formats that will be used to create PromoBYTES™.

7. How much is it to update a PromoByte?

8. When I download a PromoByte how do I know where it is at on my hard drive?

Most email software packages have a default area where it downloads files to. Centrax will have a tech support page that indicates these areas for most email packages.

9. How do I send Centrax information that will be put into my PromoBYTES™?

You can either email or send it on a removable storage item such as CD, Floppy, or ZIP disk

Email Software: Any email software that can attach an exe file

Average file sizes: Biz-ECard -- 250 to 650k. ReferenceBYTES -- 450 to 950k.
PromoBytes can be any size. These sizes are ideal for email delivery. Larger files can be distributed via CD, PC Memory Card, Floppy, etc.
